  1. This diskette contains the Windows 3.0 printer driver to support the 
  2. following Panasonic Laser Printers:
  3.     KX-P4420
  4.     KX-P4450
  5.     KX-P4450i
  6.  
  7. This is version 1.00 of the printer driver.
  8.  
  9. The files on the disk and their functions are:
  10.     PANLP.DRV    - main printer driver program file. 
  11.     PANLP.HLP    - help file for use with Windows help engine
  12.     FINSTALL.DLL - soft font installation program file.
  13.     FINSTALL.HLP - help file for the font installer.
  14.     PINSTALL.EXE - pre-installation setup program file.
  15.     PINSTALL.TXT - instructions for normal installation.
  16.     MINSTALL.TXT - instructions for manual installation.
  17.     MINSTALL.BAT - batch file used in manual installation.
  18.     README.TXT   - this file.

  20. The overview of the installation procedure is as follows:
  21.  
  22.   - Start Windows.
  23.  
  24.   - Run PINSTALL.EXE from this disk to update the Windows SETUP.INF file.
  25.     This will allow the "Add Printer" procedure to proceed in the same 
  26.     way as the installation of drivers delivered on the Windows disks. 
  27.     If this fails, use the MINSTALL procedure.
  28.  
  29.   - Use the Windows Control Panel "Add Printer" procedure to copy the
  30.     necessary files to the Windows System directory and add appropriate
  31.     entries to the WIN.INI file.
  32.  
  33.   - Use the Windows Control Panel "Configure" and "Setup" procedure to 
  34.     configure the printer driver for your particular port connections 
  35.     and printer setup.  Press the [Help] button on the main printer 
  36.     driver setup screen to access the full documentation on this 
  37.     printer driver through the Windows Help Engine.

  40. MMINSTALL.TXT files on this disk.  These can be viewed with the Windows 
  41. Notepad application, or the DOS TYPE command.
